W-Rated Systems Available -CP 680N w/ Top Seal
The new Hilti Top Seal for use with Hilti CP
680N/CP 682 Cast-In Firestop Devices helps
provide a water resistant seal to minimize water
issues on the jobsite.
Features/Benefits

•Easy friction fit around pipes to create a water
tight seal
•Sizes available to accommodate ¾”to 3”copper
pipe, iron pipe, schedule 40  and SDR 11 plastic
pipe penetrations.
UL Systems
Currently, UL Systems are available for Hilti CP
680N Cast-In Firestop Devices in conjunction with
Hilti Top Seal depicting UL’s W-rating. The W-
rating is intended to assist Authorities Having
Jurisdiction and others in determining the suitability
of
firestop
systems
in
applications
where
submersion in water may be a factor.
F-A-2053 –Plastic pipe through CP 680N Cast-in
Firestop Device in min. 2-1/2”concrete or min. 2-
1/2”concrete over metal deck (2-hour F-rating).
Use of Top Seal around ¾”to 2”plastic pipes can
provide W-rating.
F-A-2054-Plastic pipe through CP 680N Cast-in
Firestop Device in min. 4-1/2”concrete or min. 4-1/2”
concrete over metal deck (3-hour F-rating).  Use of
Top Seal around ¾” to 2” plastic pipes can provide W-
rating.
F-A-2145 –Blazemaster®or FlowguardGold®
CPVC plastic pipe through CP 680N Cast-in Firestop
Device in min. 2-1/2”concrete or min. 2-1/2”concrete
over metal deck. (2 or 3-Hour F-rating).  Use of Top
Seal around ¾”to 2”CPVC plastic pipes can provide
W-rating.  Top Seal and CP 680N are also FGG/BM
system compatible.
F-A-1016 –Metal pipe through CP 680N or CP 682
Cast-in firestop Device in min. 2-1/2”concrete or min.
OJNLO”concrete over metal deck (2-hour F-rating).
Use of Top Seal will provide a water tight seal and will
replace mineral wool when small diameter pipes are
installed in 2.5”devices.   W-rating is not currently
available on metallic pipe applications.
F-A-1017–Metal pipe through CP 680N or CP 682
Cast-in firestop Device in min. 4-1/2”concrete or min.
4-1/2”concrete over metal deck (3-hour F-rating).
Use of Top Seal will provide a water tight seal and will

who currently offers   tested
systems
for
Cast-in
Firestop
Devices with the UL W-rating.
